The Area47 is the ultimate discovery for anyone looking for a real adventure holiday – in the water while rafting, canyoning or kayaking, in the air while climbing in the high rope park or at the boulder cave, or on land while motocrossing through the 66,000 m2 large Adventure Park.
In this unique combination of nature and high-tech, you will find everything that makes an adventure holiday in Austria a once in a lifetime experience. This of course includes the many stage events – Tyrol rocks the world here!
The AREA Dome, a 3,600 m2 event hall, is the venue for hosting top acts from all musical genres, for extreme sporting events, cultural events, trade fairs, after show parties, and much more. From covered sports events to folk festivals – at AREA 47 anything is possible.
The best the outdoor world has to offer, all concentrated in one place. You can clamber and balance 30 metres above the ground on the high rope course, test your limits on the giant climbing wall or climb against the clock on one of the speed climbing routes. You will also find plenty on offer for an exciting descent: Swing across the Ötztaler Ache river with the “Megaswing” liana, or enjoy a bird’s eye view of the AREA 47 as you slide down the over 600 metre long “Flying Fox”.
Outdoor fans who don’t mind getting wet will enjoy rafting and canyoning on the Ötztaler Ache and Inn rivers or canyoning through the wild and romantic gorges of the Tyrolean mountains, which are also a paradise for mountain bikers and mountaineers.
The Water Area presents what is probably the world’s sportiest 20,000 m2:
A swimming lake including a thrilling waterslide park, a diving platform and water trampolines, a Venice Beach style gym, as well as beach volleyball, beach soccer and basketball courts.
The dare devils among you can pull off spectacular moves at the boulder face suspended above water, while balancing on the “Slackline”, or while trying to land a creative stunt into the water on skis, on a snowboard or bike when hurtling down the water ramp.
The surf waves on the Ötztaler Ache and Inn rivers are the icing on the cake of the ultimate Water Area.
Rafting on Europe's most popular stretch of whitewater.
On its journey through the Imster Canyon, the fast-flowing River Inn offers ideal conditions for rafting beginners and outdoor enthusiasts.
Canyoning is a unique and adventurous way of discovering secret canyons and hidden mountain caves in the Tyrolean mountains. To experience a combination of rafting, hiking, climbing and abseiling, you need to be in good physical shape.
